Auto-layout diagrams

Select a diagram type from the toolbar or template picker: mind map, flowchart, or org chart. Timezylla auto-arranges nodes with proper spacing and hierarchy — you focus on content, not positioning.

Mind maps

Start with a central node and add child nodes that branch outward. Auto-layout keeps the map balanced as you add branches.

Collapse and expand branches to focus on specific areas. Color-code nodes by level or topic for visual clarity.

Flowcharts

Add decision nodes (diamonds), process nodes (rectangles), and start/end nodes (rounded rectangles). Connect them with directional arrows to show flow.

Auto-layout options: top-to-bottom or left-to-right. The layout engine routes connections to avoid overlaps.

Org charts

Create hierarchical layouts with manager-report relationships. Each node can include a name, title, department, and photo.

Auto-layout maintains proper hierarchy spacing. Add or remove levels and the chart restructures automatically.

Converting between layouts

Switch auto-layout direction (top-to-bottom, left-to-right, radial) without losing connections. Convert a freeform card arrangement into an auto-layout diagram by selecting the cards and choosing a layout type.

Manual override: drag any node out of its auto-layout position to customize placement. The rest of the diagram adjusts around it.
